About Us

The Washtenaw County Writing Center (WCWC) is an emerging youth-driven Writing Center space that engages students countywide in peer-to-peer support, advocacy and activism, and imagining different futures through writing and literacy. WCWC is founded on four core values: equity, inclusion, access, and collaboration.

In addition to develop countywide tutoring networks, WCWC seeks to expand the work of writing centers to include community collaboration, collective advocacy, and youth-driven activism.

WCWC is a joint project between the Eastern Michigan University Office of Campus and Community Writing and the Washtenaw County Writing Centers Project.
